January 7: Get on the grid

altI keep hearing spiritual people talking about grids: "The grids are shifting / changing / colliding." What does it all mean? I don't know, but that Holographic Universe bloke Michael Talbot seems to be at the centre of it all (despite the fact he's long gone - he died in 1982 at the tender age of 38). So first of all, what is a hologram? I keep thinking of a funky rainbow hologram fridge magnet I had in the 80s - if you stood to the left, you saw a koala; if you stood to the right, you saw a kangaroo. It's a bit like how people say that the Mona Lisa's eyes and expression moves as you walk past her from left to right!

Put simply, if a hologram mirror shatters to pieces, each tiny piece lying on the floor still contains the entire hologram picture. Scientists have postulated that the universe - and even our brains - are holograms. Thus, any ideas we ever entertain about ‘separateness' (that an object or person is separate from us, made of different stuff) are an illusion. In fact, everything in the universe is just smaller versions of the greater whole. This is all a bit mind-blowing, but I promise you won't need Quantum Mechanics 101 to keep up, so stay with me.

Here's some fascinating facts about holograms:

-        A hologram functions as a sort of lens, a translating device able to convert an apparently meaningless blur of frequencies into a coherent image (think: our universe)

-        Thus, in a holographic universe, there are no limits to the extent to which we can alter the fabric of reality

-        Holograms possess an astounding capacity for information storage (one cubic centimeter of holographic film can hold over 10 billion bits of information)

But where do grids come in? And what are they? Here I must defer to the incredible Ellie Crystal, whose Crystal Links website has loads of information on holograms and every other conceivable bizarre thing in the cosmic world. As she so eloquently puts it:

"The universe is a hologram. Our reality is projected illusion created by a consciousness ‘program'. It is a virtual reality experiment in linear time to learn about, and experience emotions. It is created by a consciousness source through which our souls experience in many dimensions simultaneously. This is not unlike the films The Matrix, The 13th Floor, and the Holodeck in the TV series Star Trek, among others.

The program is composed of grids created by the source consciousness and brought into awareness by electromagnetic energy at the physical level. This computer consciousness is bi-polar, electromagnetic energies in physical reality. Within the program, the goal of the ‘game' is to maintain your balance while the program creates dramas at every turn.

The program had a beginning and it has an end, as consciousness evolves in the alchemy of time. You will know when it is about to end. The program is linked through a web, or grid matrixes and is based on the looping patterns of consciousness called Sacred Geometry."

So what does all this mean for you, the average person walking down the street? Well, together as a whole collective consciousness, we have created the ‘grid' in which we currently exist. Our reality; our story. Practically everyone has forgotten the personal power they've had in creating this grid, or reality; we all think it exists independently of is, and that life happens to us. When we remember it's all a projected illusion, we remember that we can change the story (the grid) at any time, and rewrite our future. There are other shadowy, ‘lesser' grids in existence (other dimensions), but the one we're currently in has the brightest, strongest colour and energy: it is ‘the best one for us', and is still serving us for the time being.

When we as a human race ‘remember' the truth about reality, the grid will collapse and we will ascend to something higher. Intuitively, I pick up something on the 3000s AD regarding this - perhaps Planet Earth will manage to reach Nirvana in the next millennium!
